WHO LIVES IN A PINEAPPLE...

Since I haven't really had time to post new stuff, I'm going to put up some designs I've done for various projects and pitches over the last little while. Today: some character designs from a project we did for Nickelodeon a while ago. It was a spot done to advertise a new Spongebob Squarepants DVD (some shots from the spot can be seen in my demo reel). It involved a bunch of sea creatures huddled around a campfire telling a ghost story. Ultimately, we went in a different direction with the character design, but I still like these guys.

WE'VE BEEN WAITING... WE'VE ALWAYS BEEN WAITING...

So Jenn and I went to the Midnight Madness premiere of 'The Lords of Salem' at TIFF a few days ago. Rob Zombie and Sheri Moon Zombie were there. And the guy that played McLovin in Superbad sat right behind us. For real. I was a little disappointed with the movie, but visually it was really striking. And I loved Sheri Moon's skull makeup when she's on her witch-trip.

Next up in my monster band is Dracula. He's the front man. He's a bit country, a bit punk, and I think the cape adds just a touch of glam.

THE AUTUMN MOON IS BRIGHT...

I got it into my head recently to make a band out of classic movie monsters. I figured the Wolf Man would naturally be the drummer. He needs to take it easy in future though; the kit can only take so much.
